Shana, a beloved DeCoverly Kennels English setter, owned by author John D. Taylor. Shana, in her third season, with Taylor spent six weeks in the autum of 2001 gunning grouse across four states (SD, OR, MT, MN) in order to write The Wild Ones. Here, Shana poses with some prairie chickens she pointed on South Dakota's Ft. Pierre National Grasslands. She held a point on the birds while a pronghorn buck danced across her line of vision, about 75 yards away.

Who We Are...
TREASURED TALES BEGAN, IN 1993, WHEN Nancy Taylor, a retired elementary school teacher, was looking for a way to combine her love of reading with an appreciation of bargains. A family operation, the original store was located on Main Street. Her husband, Gene, built the bookshelves, other family members helped get the store up and running. Nancy's helpful personality and educational experiences are Treasured Tales hallmarks. The store's children's section is exceptional. Popular bestsellers, non-fiction, sports, westerns, romance and a good science fiction section are also available. The service is a personal touch, a bond between kindred spirit readers. Nancy is always happy to help….
